Jack R. Cole, age 84 of Sunbury passed away Easter Sunday morning at his winter residence in Okeechobee, FL.
He was born July 27, 1927 in Columbus, Ohio to Raymond F. and Muriel Beard Cole.
A local resident since 1969, he was a WWII Navy Veteran and retired as Lieutenant from the Columbus Police Force.
He was a member of the Hiram Masonic Lodge #18 and was past Master of the Ashley Masonic Lodge.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and playing cards, and was a member of the Stantontown Advent Christian Church as well as the Okeechobee Missionary Baptist Church.
He is survived by daughter Janet (Tim) Hawxhurst of Columbus, son Tommy (Sharon) Cole of Marengo and step-children Beverly (Bill) Carr and Ronald Denney of Columbus; 10 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Mildred in 2009, a twin brother Richard, and a sister Betty Corso.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 12 from 4:00 – 8:00 PM at the Rodman Neeper Funeral Home, 1510 W. William St. at Valleyside Dr., Delaware, with Masonic services at 8:00 PM. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday at the Stantontown Advent Christian Church with Pastor Keith Daniels officiating.
Interment will follow in Greenmound Cemetery. Dale is survived by his wife, Linda; two daughters, Lisa (Richard) Higginbotham of Worthington and Valarie Law of Delaware; his mother, Albina of Delaware; brother, Gary (Cathy) of Florida; father-in-law, Claude Thomas of Delaware; brother-in-law, Robert (Angela) Thomas of Delaware; and a niece, Stephanie (Patrick) Joseph of Dublin.
The family wishes to thank the Rev. Donnie Akers for his prayers and visits. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Robinson Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Grace United Methodist Church, 385 E. William St., Delaware, with the Rev. Carl Schaefer officiating. Burial will follow in Marlborough Cemetery.

MCCOY Russell L. McCoy, age 74, Westerville, passed away Saturday, February 11, 2012, surrounded by his loving family, after a courageous battle following surgery. Russ is a Navy Veteran, graduate of the Ohio State University, obtained his law Degree, prior Ohio State Highway Patrolman, Captain Worthington Police Reserve. He was employed by Buckeye Union Insurance Co, UAS, Continental Insurance Co. retired from CAN Insurance Co. He was a 32nd degree Mason, member of Hiram Lodge F&A.M.-Delaware, Aladdin Shriners of Columbus, Grand Chapter of Royal Arch Masons of Ohio, Grand Council Royal and Select Masons of Ohio, Knights Templar-Marion, Ohio, Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite, Order of Eastern Star. He served as Past President Columbus Claims Association, prior member Insurance Women of Columbus, Ohio-NAIW and was a member of the NRA. Survived by his loving, devoted wife of 25 years, Anne McCoy; daughter Debra (George) Osborne-Cardington; son, Al (Tammy) McCoy-Whitesboro, NY; daughter, Sharon (Rob) Ray-Ostrander; son, Scott (Lori) McCoy-Galena. Grandchildren, Brooke Pierce, Mitch Osborne, Meagan McCoy, Stephanie McCoy, Case McCoy, Londyn McCoy, Kaelyn McCoy, Gabe Ray; three great grandchildren, brothers, Mervin (Karen) McCoy-Zanesville, Larry (Donna) McCoy-Zanesville, Jerald McCoy-Reynoldsburg, Herald (Katrina) McCoy-Ca.; Russ was an avid outdoorsman, loved hunting, fishing and golf. He was very devoted to his family and loyal companion Chase.

Milo W. Hartsock, 84, of Ostrander passed away Friday morning (Dec. 16, 2011) at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus.
He was born July 18, 1927, in Clinton County to Alan and Viola (Jordan) Hartsock. He was a 43 year Ostrander resident who retired from PPG, where as a union steward he helped establish the credit union and served in various official capacities. He attended the Marysville Bible Baptist Church and was a member of the Hiram Masonic Lodge 18 and George Lewis Behrens Order of the Eastern Star 504. Milo enjoyed working with wood, reading and cross word puzzles; however, his passion was supporting his children and grandchildren in their many activities. He coached Little League baseball for Ostrander and was a member and past president for the Ostrander Senior Citizens and volunteer driver for Meals on Wheels. He also volunteered with the children’s reading program through the Council for Older Adults.
He is survived by his wife of nearly 61 years, Donna; three daughters, Vicki (Craig) Ison of Ostrander, Vivian (Gene) Curry of Radnor and Valerie (Tom) Bryant of Bellefontaine; sons, Don (Pam Berrey) and Max (Marilyn) Hartsock, all of Ashley; 12 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; three sisters, Sarah Ames of Florida, Louise Masters of Dayton and Helen (Charles) Ellison of Wilmington; and sister-in-law, Jean Hartsock of Jamestown. He was preceded in death by two brothers.
Celebration of Life, Masonic, and Eastern Star services will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 21, commencing at 5 p.m. in the Rodman Neeper Funeral Home, Delaware. The family will then receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Rodman Neeper Community Room, hosted by the ladies of the Eastern Star.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to the donor’s choice of charity.
