MCCOY Russell L. McCoy, age 74, Westerville, passed away Saturday, February 11, 2012, surrounded by his loving family, after a courageous battle following surgery. Russ is a Navy Veteran, graduate of the Ohio State University, obtained his law Degree, prior Ohio State Highway Patrolman, Captain Worthington Police Reserve. He was employed by Buckeye Union Insurance Co, UAS, Continental Insurance Co. retired from CAN Insurance Co. He was a 32nd degree Mason, member of Hiram Lodge F&A.M.-Delaware, Aladdin Shriners of Columbus, Grand Chapter of Royal Arch Masons of Ohio, Grand Council Royal and Select Masons of Ohio, Knights Templar-Marion, Ohio, Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite, Order of Eastern Star. He served as Past President Columbus Claims Association, prior member Insurance Women of Columbus, Ohio-NAIW and was a member of the NRA. Survived by his loving, devoted wife of 25 years, Anne McCoy; daughter Debra (George) Osborne-Cardington; son, Al (Tammy) McCoy-Whitesboro, NY; daughter, Sharon (Rob) Ray-Ostrander; son, Scott (Lori) McCoy-Galena. Grandchildren, Brooke Pierce, Mitch Osborne, Meagan McCoy, Stephanie McCoy, Case McCoy, Londyn McCoy, Kaelyn McCoy, Gabe Ray; three great grandchildren, brothers, Mervin (Karen) McCoy-Zanesville, Larry (Donna) McCoy-Zanesville, Jerald McCoy-Reynoldsburg, Herald (Katrina) McCoy-Ca.; Russ was an avid outdoorsman, loved hunting, fishing and golf. He was very devoted to his family and loyal companion Chase.

Milo W. Hart­sock, 84, of Ostran­der passed away Fri­day morn­ing (Dec. 16, 2011) at River­side Methodist Hos­pi­tal, Columbus.
He was born July 18, 1927, in Clin­ton County to Alan and Viola (Jor­dan) Hart­sock. He was a 43 year Ostran­der res­i­dent who retired from PPG, where as a union stew­ard he helped estab­lish the credit union and served in var­i­ous offi­cial capac­i­ties. He attended the Marysville Bible Bap­tist Church and was a mem­ber of the Hiram Masonic Lodge 18 and George Lewis Behrens Order of the East­ern Star 504. Milo enjoyed work­ing with wood, read­ing and cross word puz­zles; how­ever, his pas­sion was sup­port­ing his chil­dren and grand­chil­dren in their many activ­i­ties. He coached Lit­tle League base­ball for Ostran­der and was a mem­ber and past pres­i­dent for the Ostran­der Senior Cit­i­zens and vol­un­teer dri­ver for Meals on Wheels. He also vol­un­teered with the children’s read­ing pro­gram through the Coun­cil for Older Adults.
He is sur­vived by his wife of nearly 61 years, Donna; three daugh­ters, Vicki (Craig) Ison of Ostran­der, Vivian (Gene) Curry of Rad­nor and Valerie (Tom) Bryant of Belle­fontaine; sons, Don (Pam Berrey) and Max (Mar­i­lyn) Hart­sock, all of Ash­ley; 12 grand­chil­dren and nine great-grandchildren; three sis­ters, Sarah Ames of Florida, Louise Mas­ters of Day­ton and Helen (Charles) Elli­son of Wilm­ing­ton; and sister-in-law, Jean Hart­sock of Jamestown. He was pre­ceded in death by two brothers.

Cel­e­bra­tion of Life, Masonic, and East­ern Star ser­vices will be held on Wednes­day, Dec. 21, com­menc­ing at 5 p.m. in the Rod­man Neeper Funeral Home, Delaware. The fam­ily will then receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Rod­man Neeper Com­mu­nity Room, hosted by the ladies of the East­ern Star.
In lieu of flow­ers, the fam­ily requests con­tri­bu­tions be made to the donor’s choice of charity.

Roy H. Lover, 74, of Card­ing­ton and for­merly of Delaware died Sun­day (Nov. 13, 2011) at his home. He was born Sept. 3, 1937 in Can­ton to Howard and Olga (Ander­son) Lover. He grad­u­ated from Kent State Uni­ver­sity. Roy came to Delaware in 1968 where he resided until 1999 when he moved to Card­ing­ton. He was a for­mer research chemist for PPG and was a fine wood work­ing contractor. He is sur­vived by his wife, Mar­cia; a daugh­ter, Kris­ten Lover of Grove City; two sons, Scott of Card­ing­ton and Michael (Con­nie) of Oak Ridge, N.C.; six grand­chil­dren, Hunter, Bar­rett, Lau­ren and Logan Lover and Gavin and Alexan­dria Thomas .Brother Lover was raised 12/26/1958 in Warren McKinley Lodge in Canton, Ohio at the age of 21. He demited on 2/24/1984 and afflilated with Hiram Lodge on 4/10/1984.

Vis­i­ta­tion will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Sat­ur­day at the Robin­son Funeral Home where a memo­r­ial ser­vice will fol­low at 3 p.m. with the Rev. Dave Matos officiating.

A water line to Moore Masonic Temple broke om 10/5/2011, and although there is no damage to the building, they will not be able to bore a new line to the tempel until Tuesday Oct 11, 2011. Therefor there will be no Water at the temple until Then, which means you will be unable to wash dishes, wash your hands, or use of the bath rooms until the water service is restored.

Stan­ley Ray Schultz, 86, of Delaware died Tues­day (Aug. 23, 2011) in Grant Hos­pi­tal from injuries sus­tained in an accident.He was born April 24, 1925 in Tampico, Ill., to William and Esther (Spotts) Schultz. Ray proudly served his coun­try in the U.S. Army dur­ing World War II. He grad­u­ated from OWU in 1951 and received his PHD from OSU in Agri­cul­tural Eco­nom­ics in 1960. He was a pro­fes­sor at South Dakota State Uni­ver­sity, Mem­phis State Uni­ver­sity and the Busi­ness Col­lege of Cleve­land State Uni­ver­sity. He was a mem­ber of the First Pres­by­ter­ian Church, Hiram Masonic Lodge and the Pow­ell YMCA where he received the Mem­ber Inspi­ra­tion of the Month.Ray is sur­vived by his wife, Nancy, whom he mar­ried July 29, 1951; two sons, Brad (Ali­son) of Kear­ney, Mo., and Greg (Louise) of Colum­bus; a sis­ter, Bette Sher­man of Tampico; a brother, Gary of Belvidere, Ill.; and his beloved dogs, Sonata and Winston.Vis­i­ta­tion will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thurs­day at the Robin­son Funeral Home. A memo­r­ial ser­vice will be held at 11 a.m. Fri­day at the First Pres­by­ter­ian Church, 73 W. Win­ter St., with the Rev. Deb­o­rah Pat­ter­son offi­ci­at­ing. Bur­ial will be at a later date in the Franklin Church Ceme­tery near Mansfield.
