Jack R. Cole, age 84 of Sunbury passed away Easter Sunday morning at his winter residence in Okeechobee, FL.

He was born July 27, 1927 in Columbus, Ohio to Raymond F. and Muriel Beard Cole.

A local resident since 1969, he was a WWII Navy Veteran and retired as Lieutenant from the Columbus Police Force.

He was a member of the Hiram Masonic Lodge #18 and was past Master of the Ashley Masonic Lodge.

He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and playing cards, and was a member of the Stantontown Advent Christian Church as well as the Okeechobee Missionary Baptist Church.

He is survived by daughter Janet (Tim) Hawxhurst of Columbus, son Tommy (Sharon) Cole of Marengo and step-children Beverly (Bill) Carr and Ronald Denney of Columbus; 10 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Mildred in 2009, a twin brother Richard, and a sister Betty Corso.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 12 from 4:00 – 8:00 PM at the Rodman Neeper Funeral Home, 1510 W. William St. at Valleyside Dr., Delaware, with Masonic services at 8:00 PM. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday at the Stantontown Advent Christian Church with Pastor Keith Daniels officiating.

Interment will follow in Greenmound Cemetery. Dale E. Law, 62, of Delaware, died Thurs­day (March 29, 2012) in River­side Hospital.He was born April 19, 1949, in Delaware to Hugh and Albina (Dun­lap) Law. A life­time res­i­dent of Delaware County, he grad­u­ated from Hayes High School in 1967, attended O.S.U. and grad­u­ated from the Cincin­nati Col­lege of Mor­tu­ary Sci­ence in 1971. Dale was an employee and had 26 years of per­fect atten­dance at Honda of Amer­ica Auto Plant in Marysville. He was also employed as a funeral direc­tor at Robin­son Funeral Home since 1985. He was a mem­ber of Hiram Masonic Lodge and a for­mer mem­ber of Kiwa­nis Club and the Elks Lodge. Dale spent many years as a mem­ber of Grace United Methodist Church where he was mar­ried and later attended Grace Brethren Church.

Dale is sur­vived by his wife, Linda; two daugh­ters, Lisa (Richard) Hig­gin­botham of Wor­thing­ton and Valarie Law of Delaware; his mother, Albina of Delaware; brother, Gary (Cathy) of Florida; father-in-law, Claude Thomas of Delaware; brother-in-law, Robert (Angela) Thomas of Delaware; and a niece, Stephanie (Patrick) Joseph of Dublin.

The fam­ily wishes to thank the Rev. Don­nie Akers for his prayers and vis­its. Vis­i­ta­tion will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Sun­day at the Robin­son Funeral Home. The funeral ser­vice will be at 11 a.m. Mon­day in Grace United Methodist Church, 385 E. William St., Delaware, with the Rev. Carl Schae­fer offi­ci­at­ing. MCCOY Russell L. McCoy, age 74, Westerville, passed away Saturday, February 11, 2012, surrounded by his loving family, after a courageous battle following surgery. Russ is a Navy Veteran, graduate of the Ohio State University, obtained his law Degree, prior Ohio State Highway Patrolman, Captain Worthington Police Reserve. He was employed by Buckeye Union Insurance Co, UAS, Continental Insurance Co. retired from CAN Insurance Co. He was a 32nd degree Mason, member of Hiram Lodge F&A.M.-Delaware, Aladdin Shriners of Columbus, Grand Chapter of Royal Arch Masons of Ohio, Grand Council Royal and Select Masons of Ohio, Knights Templar-Marion, Ohio, Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite, Order of Eastern Star. He served as Past President Columbus Claims Association, prior member Insurance Women of Columbus, Ohio-NAIW and was a member of the NRA. Survived by his loving, devoted wife of 25 years, Anne McCoy; daughter Debra (George) Osborne-Cardington; son, Al (Tammy) McCoy-Whitesboro, NY; daughter, Sharon (Rob) Ray-Ostrander; son, Scott (Lori) McCoy-Galena. Milo W. Hart­sock, 84, of Ostran­der passed away Fri­day morn­ing (Dec. 16, 2011) at River­side Methodist Hos­pi­tal, Columbus.
He was born July 18, 1927, in Clin­ton County to Alan and Viola (Jor­dan) Hart­sock. He was a 43 year Ostran­der res­i­dent who retired from PPG, where as a union stew­ard he helped estab­lish the credit union and served in var­i­ous offi­cial capac­i­ties. He attended the Marysville Bible Bap­tist Church and was a mem­ber of the Hiram Masonic Lodge 18 and George Lewis Behrens Order of the East­ern Star 504. Milo enjoyed work­ing with wood, read­ing and cross word puz­zles; how­ever, his pas­sion was sup­port­ing his chil­dren and grand­chil­dren in their many activ­i­ties. He coached Lit­tle League base­ball for Ostran­der and was a mem­ber and past pres­i­dent for the Ostran­der Senior Cit­i­zens and vol­un­teer dri­ver for Meals on Wheels. He also vol­un­teered with the children’s read­ing pro­gram through the Coun­cil for Older Adults.
He is sur­vived by his wife of nearly 61 years, Donna; three daugh­ters, Vicki (Craig) Ison of Ostran­der, Vivian (Gene) Curry of Rad­nor and Valerie (Tom) Bryant of Belle­fontaine; sons, Don (Pam Berrey) and Max (Mar­i­lyn) Hart­sock, all of Ash­ley; 12 grand­chil­dren and nine great-grandchildren; three sis­ters, Sarah Ames of Florida, Louise Mas­ters of Day­ton and Helen (Charles) Elli­son of Wilm­ing­ton; and sister-in-law, Jean Hart­sock of Jamestown. He was pre­ceded in death by two brothers.

Cel­e­bra­tion of Life, Masonic, and East­ern Star ser­vices will be held on Wednes­day, Dec. 21, com­menc­ing at 5 p.m. in the Rod­man Neeper Funeral Home, Delaware. The fam­ily will then receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Rod­man Neeper Com­mu­nity Room, hosted by the ladies of the East­ern Star.
In lieu of flow­ers, the fam­ily requests con­tri­bu­tions be made to the donor’s choice of charity.
